NURS 3407 - Nursing Concepts I Credits: 3
Description: Students will explore concepts of physiological adaptation and management of care in individuals across the lifespan. Principles of EBP, patient-centered care, quality and safe care, reduction of risk potential, infection control measures, disease prevention, health promotion, health maintenance, social determinants of health, therapeutic communication, interprofessionalism, teaching and learning, equity, and advocacy will be explored. Clinical judgment skills will continue to be developed in the classroom setting. Prerequisites: First Semester, Junior year BSN Core Courses: NURS 2007 , NURS 3007 , NURS 3017 , NURS 3107 , NURS 3117 , NURS 3127 , NURS 3207 , NURS 3038 , and NURS 3307 . Corequisite: NURS 3417 , NURS 3437 , NURS 3507 , NURS 3607 , NURS 3617 , NURS 3427 , NURS 3707 , and AHS 3568 . Approved for distance education.
