NURS 3038 - Research and EBP in Nursing Credits: 3
Description: In this course, the student will explore the use of evidence-based practice principles to inform decisions in patient care, the nursing profession, and nursing practice. The basic elements of the research process, human subject advocacy, and dissemination of evidence will be explored. The focus will be on the role of the professional nurse in integrating evidence to inform clinical judgement and improve patient outcomes. Prerequisites: Nursing major, or admission to RN to BSN, or advisor approval. For BSN major: Prerequisite: Corequisite: NURS 2007 , NURS 3007 , NURS 3017 , NURS 3107 , NURS 3117 , NURS 3127 , NURS 3207 , NURS 3307 . Approved for distance education.
