NURS 3207 - Communication and Professionalism Credits: 2
Description: Examine caring and therapeutic communication with individuals, families, and communities, as well as effective communication in interprofessional collaborations. Verbal, written, and electronic communication will be explored. Professionalism, scope and standards of practice, delegation, altruism, ethics, responsibility, accountability, and safe/quality patient care will be examined. Teaching and learning concepts through verbal, written, and technological methods will be discussed. Clinical judgement skills will continue to be developed in the classroom setting. Approved for distance education. Prerequisite: Admission to Nursing major. Corequisite: NURS 2007 , NURS 3007 , NURS 3017 , NURS 3107 , NURS 3117 , NURS 3127 , NURS 3038 , and NURS 3307 .
