NURS 4597 - Transition to Practice

Description: In this course, the student will identify personal and professional values, life-long learning, ethics, integrity, accountability, professionalism, and philosophy of nursing in the transition to the role of a practicing baccalaureate prepared nurse. The interrelationship among nursing theory, practice, EBP, health policy, federal and state regulations, accrediting bodies, health care policy, and self-care/wellness will be explored in a hybrid classroom. Prerequisite: First semester, Senior yr BSN Core Courses: NURS 4007 , NURS 4017 , NURS 4027 , NURS 4107 , NURS 4207 , NURS 4217 , NURS 3807 , AHS 3900 . Corequisite: NURS 4307 , NURS 4317 , NURS 4327 , NURS 4407 , NURS 4507 , NURS 4517 , NURS 4687 . Approved for distance education.
