NURS 4217 - Maternal Child Nursing - Simulation Laboratory

Description: Students will examine the concepts of care related to the mother, infant, and child. The family unit, growth and development, health and wellness, reproduction/sexuality, patient-centered care, and EBP will be explored in a multicultural society. Social determinants of health, equity, health care policies, economics, safety, communication, community, and public health will be discussed. Clinical judgment skills will be developed in the simulation laboratory setting and/or clinical setting. Extra Fee. Prerequisites: Junior year BSN Core Courses 2nd: NURS 3407 , NURS 3417 , NURS 3437 , NURS 3507 , NURS 3607 , NURS 3617 , NURS 3427 , NURS 3707 , AHS 3568 . Corequisite: NURS 4007 , NURS 4017 , NURS 4027 , NURS 4107 , NURS 4207 , NURS 3807 , AHS 3900 .
