NURS 3807 - Nursing Leadership

Description: The student will examine the role of the nurse leader. Quality and safety to achieve optimal patient outcomes will be explored using clinical judgment skills. Concepts integral to the nurse leader such as licensure, certification, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, QSEN competencies, accreditation, delegation, accountability, professionalism, social justice, integrity, human dignity, autonomy, altruism, conflict resolution, and interprofessionalism will be evaluated. Prerequisite: NURS 3407, NURS 3417, NURS 3437, NURS 3507, NURS 3607, NURS 3617, NURS 3427, NURS 3707, AHS 3568. Corequisite: NURS 4007, NURS 4017, NURS 4027, NURS 4107, NURS 4207, NURS 4217, AHS 3900. Approved for distance education.
