Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master’s: Public Administration (MPA)

Criteria and Application Requirements
Students interested in pursuing the Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master’s in Public Administration program plan must:
- Be enrolled in at least one of the following bachelor’s degree programs:
- BA in Political Science
- BA in International Studies
- BA in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality
- By the start of the student’s Accelerated status, have either:
- 75 credit hours earned and an overall BGSU GPA of at least 3.2, or
- 90 credit hours earned and an overall BGSU GPA of at least 3.0;
- Complete Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master’s Program Application;
- Submit transcripts from all universities attended;
- Submit two letters of recommendation from a full-time BGSU faculty member, preferably from graduate faculty within the student’s major or targeted graduate program.
- Submit a statement of purpose (250-500 words) highlighting how the MPA program aligns with the applicants professional interests and objectives.
Once the student completes their undergraduate degree, they should complete the remaining requirements for the Master in Public Administration program.
