NURS 2515 - Concepts of Professional Nursing

Description: This course is designed to be the initial course in the nursing curriculum and introduces nursing through historical development and current trends. The roles of the baccalaureate nurse are examined in light of current healthcare trends. This course will also include strategies that enhance academic performance and achieving efficient learning. Topics will include learning styles, critical thinking, test-taking skills, review of NCLEX test plan, medical terminology, and how to read a nursing textbook. Prerequisite: Acceptance into BSN Pre-licensure Program. Co-requisites: NURS 2525 : NURS 2905
