ESHP 3340 - Finance for Entrepreneurs

Description: This course concentrates on basic entrepreneurial finance focusing on sources and uses of cash from concept to launch. Students will understand the significance of breakeven analysis, financial modeling, operating cash-flows and sources of seed money to start the venture, including friends and family, angel funds, crowd funds, venture funds, banks and other creative funding options. They will learn revenue forecasting, ROI, profit and loss. Exit strategies and the importance of sound accounting practices. Prerequisite: C or better in one of the ESHP 1010 , 1020, 1030, 1040 or 1050 is required for enrollment.
