NURS 3607 - Mental Health Nursing Credits: 2
Description: In this course the student will explore the concepts of mood and cognition within individuals, families, and communities. Maladaptive behaviors, coping skills, therapeutic communication, and therapies will be explored. Students will build upon previously learned concepts of therapeutic communication, ethics, economics, health care policy and regulations, equity, social determinants, EBP, health and wellness, and patient-centered care. Clinical judgment skills will continue to be fostered in the classroom setting. Prerequisites: First Semester, Junior year BSN Core Courses: NURS 2007 , NURS 3007 , NURS 3017 , NURS 3107 , NURS 3117 , NURS 3127 , NURS 3207 , NURS 3038 , NURS 3307 .
