The Instructional Design minor introduces students to the systematic design of instruction where innovative and effective learning opportunities are created. Grounded in the science of learning, coursework addresses pertinent areas in the field such as adult learning theory, development of training programs, instructional design, evaluation and assessment of learning, instructional materials development, instructional technology, and project management. This minor is relevant to anyone who is interested in advancing learning and development, training, and/or eLearning in the professional workplace.
This minor does not lead to a licensure to teach in K-12 school systems.
