The Media Production minor provides students with production skills necessary to enhance the communication and content creation aspects of their chosen major and professional career goals. They will develop technical and creative capabilities to produce high quality audio and video for multi-platform media environments. They will learn all elements of the pre-production, production, and post-production processes.
Learning Outcomes
- Apply knowledge of pre-production, production, and post-production skills to create narratives appropriate to diverse audiences, purposes, and contexts.
- Use video, audio, and editing equipment and software to create technically excellent content that effectively engages diverse publics.
- Integrate principles of storytelling with technical skills to create compelling narratives.
- Collaborate and work within teams to plan and execute successful video and audio projects.
- Communicate effectively within an educational environment and understand how to translate those skills into professional settings.
