The Chinese Minor is designed to provide students with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, as well as a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, history, and society. This program complements a wide range of majors by equipping students with practical language skills for use in a variety of professional, academic, and cultural contexts. The program also encourages intercultural competence through courses in Chinese cinema, literature, history, and current affairs.
The Chinese minor requires the completion of 18-20 credits. This includes four language courses and two content courses focused on Chinese culture, literature, film, healing arts, or related topics.
