The graduate certificate in History for Educators offers graduate training for teachers from whom advanced knowledge of historical content and methods is a necessity. Academic specialists teach courses with an emphasis on providing tools for instruction at the college level and/or advanced placement classes. This certificate is especially useful for individuals who already possess a Master’s degree and who want to meet the minimum requirements of the State of Ohio to teach survey-level college courses.
Admission Requirements
Applicants admitted to the graduate certificate program in History for Educators must meet at least one of the following requirements:

hold a bachelor degree in an appropriate field of study (History, American Studies, Social Studies, or other related field) with a 3.0 minimum grade point average

- GRE scores are not necessary for the stand-alone certificate
