Additional courses in the natural sciences and mathematics are included to help the student obtain a holistic view and understanding of the overall context in which environmental issues are placed. Each student also takes courses in a specialization designed to prepare for a career field. A three-hour internship or independent study (ENVS 4890 or ENVS 4700 ) is also required.
