Small Business Management Certificate Program

This one-year certificate program is designed for students who have an interest in managing a small business. Students enrolled in this certificate program take courses that provide them with the knowledge necessary to successfully manage a small business. It is geared to the part-time evening student and arranged so that credits received in this certificate program can be applied to the associate of applied business degree.

General Requirements
Students are responsible for adhering to all college and university requirements and policies as stated in the BGSU Undergraduate Catalog. Prerequisites shown below are for reference only.
Basic Courses
(9 Credits)
Choose from Social and Behavior Sciences (S or SI), Natural Sciences (N), Humanities and Arts (H or HI), Cultural Diversity (C). Choose courses from the BG Perspective Curriculum found in the BGSU Undergraduate Catalog.
Technical Courses
(18 Credits minimum)
Note:
Upon successful completion of all the courses with a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or higher AND formal admission to Bowling Green State University Firelands, the student will be awarded a one-year technical certificate. All coursework in the program may apply toward a future associate degree in a related area. If you are interested in continuing on to an associate degree and/or a bachelor degree program, please consult with your advisor.
