Offered as a stand-alone program, the Graduate Computer Technology Certificate may be earned apart from completing the Classroom Technology Master’s degree. Upon successful completion of the certificate coursework, Ohio Assessment for the Computer Technology Endorsement, and state required field hours, program candidates who hold a valid standard Ohio teaching license will be eligible to apply for the Computer Technology Endorsement to be added to their license. Candidates in the certificate/endorsement program will not only be prepared to provide leadership capabilities for local, state, or national educational technology initiatives, but will also be licensed to teach computer technology courses in Ohio K-12 settings.

Admission Requirements
By completing the coursework in the certificate program, you will earn the BGSU Computer Technology Endorsement Certificate and this will post to your BGSU transcript. In order to add the license for Ohio Licensure, application is made for new license with Ohio Department of Education. After completing BGSU coursework, to earn Ohio license for K12 Computer Technology, candidates will need to successfully complete the OAE subtests 016/017. Document required:
- Submit appropriate state teacher licensure exam scores such as PRAXIS II, or Ohio Assessments for Educators (OAE) test. Test score waived for Masters.
