BGSU’s M.Ed. in Classroom Technology gives teachers hands-on, immediately applicable mastery of current digital tools that they can use to facilitate teaching and foster learning in both traditional and virtual learning environments. Upon successful completion of required coursework, Ohio Assessment for the Computer Science Endorsement, and state required field hours, program candidates who hold a valid standard Ohio Teaching license will be eligible to apply for the Computer Science Endorsement to be added to their license.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the M.Ed. degree, students in the Classroom Technology program are expected to be able to:
- Create and support, in K12 classrooms, effective digital age learning environments to maximize the learning of all students
- Coach educators in using technology effectively for assessing student learning, differentiating instruction, and providing rigorous relevant and engaging learning experiences for learners
- Model and promote digital citizenship
- Compile evidence of professional knowledge, skills and dispositions in content, pedagogical and technological areas as well as adult learning and leadership and continuously depend their knowledge and expertise.
Admission Requirements
Submit scores from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), the appropriate state teacher licensure exam scores such as PRAXIS II, or Ohio Assessments for Educators (OAE) test.

Additional Requirements
- Minimum 3.0 graduate cumulative grade point average
- Minimum of 18 credits must be at the 6000-level or higher
- Minimum of 24 credits must be earned at BGSU
- All requirements must be completed within six years from the end of the earliest course used to fulfill degree requirements.
