The Department of Visual Communication and Technology Education offers a Master of Education degree in Learning Design. The Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design is tailored to the individuals who plan to advance their knowledge and skills in instructional design for use in either educational or industrial settings, and is designed to lead to the Master’s program in Learning Design.
Learning Outcomes
1. Apply foundational learning design theories and principles to the development of instruction in diverse learning environments.
2. Apply instructional systems design (ISD) to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate instruction for teaching and training.
3. Develop and use multimedia tools and instructional technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
Admission Requirements

- Two Letters of Recommendation from recent instructors, employers or other individuals qualified to evaluate the potential for success in the program.
- Statement of Purpose - a personal statement of purpose (1-2 pages).
