PR 1400 - Introduction to Strategic Public Relations

Description: Public relations as a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics. Public relations problems, policies, and practices applied to business and nonprofit organizations. Focus on crisis and strategic communication related to current events and societal issues. Theory, survey research, ethics and media methods of communicating organizational messages. Approved for distance education.
