Description: Networking components (hardware) and basic network design. Basic networking terminology and concepts. Topics include the Open Systems Interconnect (OSI) model, contrasting TCP/IP and OSI, and network topologies. This is the introductory course leading to the Cisco CCNA certification. Basic router and switch configurations are introduced. Approved for distance education.
