Introduction to computational methods in statistics; simulation, multivariate visualization, Monte Carlo methods, bootstrap, data partitioning methods, cross-validation, probability density estimation, nonparametric regression and smoothing, numerical methods, and other topics as time permits. An emphasis on reproducible research and reports. Prerequisites: MATH 6410 or consent of instructor.
