This course examines nutritional therapies for specific medical conditions. The physiological and biochemical basis for nutrition intervention in disease is discussed. The pathophysiology of major disease states and their impact on nutritional status and normal metabolism is explored. Assessment of nutritional status, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of appropriate nutrition therapy is covered. Credit cannot be earned for both FN 4380 and FN 5380.
