ECON 3060 - Introducation to the Analysis of Economic Data


Credits: 3

Description: This class is a hands-on introduction to the methods and tools of (economic) data analysis. Students should expect a mixture of statistics, programming, and economic analysis. Various methods of gathering data, processing the data, and visualizing the results will be covered. No prior software experience is necessary, but learning to use the software in an essential part of the course. Students are expected to provide their own laptops to accomplish the course requirements. Prerequisites: MATH 1150  or IS 2000  or STAT 2000 , and ECON 2000  or ECON 2020 , or permission of instructor.
