SOC 4140 - Environmental Sociology

Description: Examines the relationship between humans and the natural world, emphasizing how people contribute to, and are shaped by, environmental problems with global and local consequences. Introduces theoretical perspectives, key concepts, and research in the social response to environmental issues and problems; examines how environmental problems come to be recognized, the dimensions of specific problems, and sociological ways of understanding them. Prerequisite: SOC 1010 .
