SEES 4600 - Soil Sciences

Description: Lecture/Laboratory. Introduction to soil science including soil genesis, soil physics, soil chemistry, and soil management. Students learn about factors influencing soil formation, soil physical and chemical properties, conduct a literature review, recommend remediation approaches for contaminated soils and communicate environmental problems to a broad audience. Students can not earn credit for both SEES 4600 and GEOL 5600. Prerequisites: CHEM 1230 and CHEM 1240 or CHEM 1270 and CHEM 1280 or CHEM 1350 or instructor permission. No Fees.
