Description: Fall, Summer. Knowledge and skills in diatonic harmony, melodic organization, form-creating aspects, with examples from a variety of music literature. Prerequisite: must have passed at least two sections of the undergraduate theory placement exam. Should be taken concurrently with MUCT 1410 and, for those passing only two or three sections of the placement exam, MUCT 1150.
