LING 4100 - Methods of TESOL Credits: 3
Description: Major theories, practices, and methods of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Readings illustrate a historical perspective and current methods and practices in the field, with a focus on communicative language teaching and applications related to the teaching of listening, speaking, vocabulary, syntax, reading, and writing. Other topics include syllabus design, cultural implications, and technology use. Prerequisite: LING 2900 or LING 3800 or instructor permission. Cannot receive credit for both LING 4100 and LING 5100.
