Description: Fall. Dramatic works by British, European (in translation), and American writers of the Modern period such as Shaw, Ibsen, Chekhov, O’Casey, Anouilh, Giradoux, Brecht, O’Neill, with a focus on dramatic movements and theatrical innovations as well as the cultural, aesthetic, literary, and political contexts of individual works. Prerequisites: any ENG literature course and WRIT 1120.
