ARTS 2410 - Introduction to Photography

Description: Introduction to the history, practice, and theory of photography. The class will cover 35mm black and white film cameras and the darkroom for printing. Students will also be introduced to the DSLR cameras, inkjet printing and contemporary practices. Lectures and slide presentations on historical and contemporary issues and artists provide an overview to the fine art of photography. This introductory course emphasizes personal growth in technique and concept and familiarizes students to the options available in upper-level Photography courses. Five studio hours. Extra Fee.
