CS 4310 - Computer and Network Security

Description: An extended study in cybersecurity involves a deep dive into cryptographic techniques encompassing encryption, hashing, and key distribution, alongside a comprehensive examination of security protocols such as IPsec, SSH, VPN, and TLS. This knowledge extends to understanding attacks and defenses in remote access, web applications, and wireless networks, including hands-on experience in penetration testing and data protection using cryptographic algorithms in secure applications. Furthermore, it entails an awareness of the security implications posed by emerging technologies, ensuring that one can adapt and defend against evolving threats in the ever-changing landscape of cybersecurity.

Prerequisite(s): a grade of C or better in CS 2310 or CS 3320
