GEOG 1260 - Weather Studies Laboratory

Description: Introduction to meteorology including characteristics of the atmosphere, drivers of atmospheric motion, meteorological phenomena and tools used to measure the atmosphere. Students learn about meteorological data and actively apply it in a lab setting to develop an understanding of a range of atmospheric characteristics and phenomena, an appreciation of weather prediction uncertainties and an awareness of the warning systems used to notify the public about severe weather events. Approved for distance education. Credit cannot be earned for both GEOG 1250 and GEOG 1260.
