ENG 4300 - Topics in Early American Literature

Description: On demand. Intensive study of an author, group of authors, genre, theme, period, or critical issue. Authors may include: Smith, Bradford, Rowlandson, Knight, Edwards, Franklin, Wheatley, Irving, and Cooper. Native-American myths and French/Spanish exploration narratives may also be treated. Prerequisite: ENG 2010. Course is repeatable up to 9 hours if topics differ.
