EDTL 2710 - Introduction to Teaching Secondary Integrated Language Arts

Description: Fall, Spring. This course provides students with an introduction to teaching the English Language Arts in grades 7 - 12. Key concepts include the organizational structure of Language Arts, curriculum standards, inquiry, fundamentals of lesson planning, and technology. One two-hour lecture and one three-hour lab in a grade-level school setting. Requires FBI/BCI background checks valid throughout the semester of enrollment.

Prerequisite(s): EDTL 2020 and EDTL 3400.
