CDIS 4610 - Aural Rehabilitation Credits: 3
Description: Aural rehabilitation is the process of identifying and treating children and adults with hearing loss. Students in this course will learn culturally sensitive approaches for maximizing individuals’ auditory and/or manual communication. These include hearing aids and other assistive listening devices, and strategies such as auditory training, speechreading, and signing systems.
Prerequisite(s): CDIS major or permission of department chair. Credit cannot be earned for both CDIS 4610 and CDIS 5610. When Offered: Fall.
