SOC 3190 - Alcohol, Drugs, and Society

Description: Social aspects of alcohol and drug use and abuse, with focus on marijuana, opioids, and college drinking patterns. Topics include fact and fiction about alcohol and drugs, social characteristics of alcohol and drug use and abuse, and policies to reduce the incidence and harms of drug and alcohol abuse including prevention, treatment, and harm reduction. Prerequisites: SOC 1010 .
