RESP 4500 - Advanced Critical Care

Credits: 3

Description: Advanced patient assessment and management strategies for critically ill patients. Course emphasis is on advanced assessment skills and management strategies to prevent respiratory or cardiopulmonary failure. Topics include a holistic approach to assessment and management, use of protocols and other management practices to optimize patient outcomes. Course content is consistent with the content matrix for the Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) credentialing examination. Prerequisite: Program matriculation or permission of instructor. Approved for online delivery.
