POLS 4210 - Bureaucratic Politics Credits: 3
Description: Examines the role of the federal bureaucracy in policy formulation and implementation and the interplay of agencies with Congress, the President, and the judiciary. Specific areas of focus include the federal rulemaking process, the influence of mission and reputation on the work of agencies, and the role of oversight in bureaucratic politics. The course relies on case studies and simulations examining specific agencies including the EPA, FDA, and FAA.
