PHAR 3500 - Introduction to Pharmacy Practice

Description: This course will introduce the student to modern pharmacy practice and provide culturally competent patient care. The topics presented in this course will enable the students to be able to practice safe and effective patient care. Topics include law, patient and provider communication, social determinants of health, and cultural competence. The students will apply what is taught in this course, combined with skills and knowledge presented in other courses (such as PHAR 3910), to be ale to work with a diverse group of patients in an appropriate manner. Prerequisite: P3 status.
