MDIA 4670 - Gender, Media & Culture

Description: On demand. This course critically examines the role of media in facilitating and challenging social constructions of gender in culture. By exploring a diverse selection of media texts, it takes an interdisciplinary approach to how popular media institutionalize and define gender within cultural practices. Junior standing required. Credit can only be earned for one of the following courses: MDIA 4670, WS 4670 or MC 5670. Approved for distance education.
