MATH 4170 - Advanced Mathematics and the Early Adulthood Context Credits: 3
Description: Fall, Spring. Topics from the middle and secondary school mathematics curricula presented from an advanced point of view. Topics include the development of various number systems, the meaning of area, the fundamental theorem of calculus, infinite cardinalities and classical problems of geometry. History of mathematics integrated into course. Prerequisites: C or better in MATH 3320 and MATH 3390 . Approved for distance education.
