FIAD 4100 - Applications of Fire Research Credits: 3
Description: This course examines the basic principles of research and methodology used to conduct fire-related research, including data analytics, trend analysis, quantitative and qualitative methods. Emphasis is placed on gaining the knowledge and skills to read, evaluate, and conduct one’s own fire-related research. The course provides students with practice in the analytic skills needed both to complete the FIAD capstone project and to serve as administrators in a data-driven profession. Prerequisites: MATH 1150 or POLS 2900 ; FIAD 3100 or FIAD 3500 ; or permission of instructor.
