EIEC 2110 - Introduction to Young Children with Exceptional Needs Credits: 3
Description: Fall, Spring. Legislation and the intervention, including children who are gifted and talented. Focuses on etiology, characteristics, classifications, and implications of exceptional learning and developmental needs in young children. Course content also includes evaluation team reports, eligibility for services and supports, service delivery models, family engagement, and individualized education/intervention plans. Includes field component. Transportation required. Taken with EIEC 2130 , EIEC 2340 , EIEC 3110 & EDFI 3020 . Prerequisites: C or better in EDTL 2010 and EIEC 2500 , and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
