EDTL 3110 - Phonics, Word Recognition, and Language Skills for Young Children Credits: 3
Description: Fall, Spring. Phonics and a systematic approach to its teaching, assessment, and intervention for all young children are examined in this class. From a base of language development, phonemic awareness, phonics, word recognition, and word study are addressed with connections to spelling and vocabulary acquisition. Must be taken as part of ECE Field Block I. Transportation required. Prerequisites: admission to early childhood education program.
