CRJU 3600 - Digital Crime and Criminal Justice

Description: This course is designed to provide an overview of the nature and extent of technological advances and their influence on the criminal justice system. Topics covered in the course include descriptions of the types of crimes committed using computer technology, theories addressing hackers and other types of digital criminal, coverage of investigations and research techniques used to identify and mitigate digital crimes, and an overview of the legal strategies and tactics targeting these types of crime. Prerequisite: CRJU-Forensic Investigation major. Approved for distance education.
