ARTH 3350 - Art of the Italian Renaissance Credits: 3

Critical issues of particular interest include the myth of the Renaissance artistic genius, the socio-political motivations behind the revival of antiquity, the shift in the status of the artist, and the new emphasis on artistic imagination.
