ART 1030 - Drawing Studio: Perception, Practice, Process Credits: 3
Description: This course introduces a range of historical and contemporary practices fundamental to drawing; from the accurate and expressive capture and translation of observed phenomena, to drawing as mapping, thinking, and action. We introduce the materials and techniques of drawing as tools for studio-based research by rendering; creative spatial illusions, interpreting information and visualizing possibility. Drawing-as-Inquiry will be used to ask questions as we explore perception, representation, and artistic practices. Required for art majors and minors. Extra fee. Can be taken with ART 1020 or ART 1030.
When Offered: Fall, Spring.
