EIEC 2130 - Emergent and Beginning Reading in Inclusive Elementary Education Credits: 3
Description: Fall, Spring. Approaches to support the development of emerging reading, writing, and language skills for all young children. Informal assessments, classroom environments, developmentally appropriate teaching for pre-K through 5th grade. Theoretical perspectives and differentiated instruction regarding print awareness, motivation, oral language development, and comprehension of fictional text. Taken with EIEC 2110 and EIEC 2000 . Prerequisite: C or better in EDTL 2010 and EIEC 2500 , and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Credit cannot be earned for both EIEC 2130 and EIEC 3130 .
